Jawad Al Rahwanji
Doctoral researcher @ CISPA | RTG Nx Models
I'm a first-year PhD candidate at the Helmholtz Center CISPA, supervised by Jilles Vreeken, and member of the Research Training Group on Neuroexplicit Models. I am interested in working on explainable and interpretable machine learning and data mining methods, particularly, for the BioMed domain.
Previously, I obtained my Master's of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from Saarland University. I wrote my Master's thesis on differentiable subgroup discovery in time-to-event (survival) data with the Exploratory Data Analysis group. In 2021, I obtained my Bachelor's in Information Technology Engineering from Damascus University. For my graduation project, I worked on a computer-vision-powered system that detects security- and safety-related events.
